Two men perched themselves on top of a crane in protest over owed wages

Two men, believed to be workers from China, perched themselves on top of a crane early Thursday morning in protest over owed wages. The Straits Times understands that both men were slated to return home to China soon but were still owed one month's pay. They have been sitting atop the crane since 8am. Police were seen cordoning off the area in the vicinity of the industrial site along Jurong Port Road, as officers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force launched rescue operations.
