SINGAPORE: Giving the visually impaired personal grooming skills to enable them to express themselves through beauty. That was the theme for a project by L'Oreal Singapore. It raised some S$37,000 for the Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped (SAVH) and Lighthouse School at an event on Saturday afternoon. As part of its Touching Colours initiative - L'Oreal staff spent time giving the visually impaired personal grooming skills. Money was raised by selling coupons to employees and trade partners for L'Oreal products and also to take part in some of the activities held on Saturday. The company has altogether raised S$75,000 this year from other fund raising initiatives but is hoping to make it S$100,000 by the end of 2011.
