Football Marseille announce Man Utd charity match - Channel NewsAsia

MARSEILLE, France - Marseille will tackle a team of Manchester United players and other football stars in a charity match in Monaco on August 2, organisers announced on Saturday. Funds raised by the match will go to the French charitable initiative 'A Smile, a Hope for Life,' which was set up in 2006 to help sick children and their families. United coach Sir Alex Ferguson, a patron of the charity, and former Marseille and United goalkeeper Fabien Barthez will both be present, announced ex-OM goalkeeper Pascal Olmeta on the organisation's website.
