M'sia cost of living lowest in Asean: Economist Intelligence Unit

KUALA LUMPUR: The cost of living in Malaysia is the lowest among Asean member countries in 2017, a global survey by the Economist Intelligence Unit has revealed. Commenting on the survey’s findings, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said this positive assessment is the result of various efforts undertaken by the government to reduce the burden of the cost of living on Malaysians. The Economist survey compared the prices of goods and services in 133 cities around the world.
