I don't think I'll be where I am without Singapore, says Grammy-nominated local artist @arunshen #STCommunities

Here’s something that will be music to the ears of music-loving Singaporeans. A local musician has, for the first time, made it to the Grammy nominee list. Rumbadoodle, a Spanish flamenco-inspired album by Singaporean Arun Shenoy, has been nominated for Best Pop Instrumental Album at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards, which will be held in February at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The album is up against 24/7 (Gerald Albright & Norman Brown), Impressions (Chris Botti), Four Hands & A Heart Volume One (Larry Carlton) and Live At The Blue Note Tokyo (Dave Koz). The nomination makes Mr Shenoy the first Singaporean to benominated for the prestigious awards. Not just that, but the fact that the self-funded album was entirely produced and recorded here, is enough cause for celebration.
