Video: This sec sch student cut his water usage ... by skipping showers

A still from the short film produced by Sembawang Secondary students on water conservation. He did not shower for two days in a row – all in the name of water conservation. Sembawang Secondary School student Calvin Leong, 15 (above), did not tell any of his classmates about this. Calvin was the presenter in a student-directed, produced and animated documentary which records a 30-day experiment, showing how an individual can drastically reduce water consumption. He managed to save 4,000 litres of water by the end of the experiment, which is equivalent to 8,000 bottles of 500 ml water. More in The New Paper on Wednesday (June 29).
