A Singapore hospital treating the Indian student who was brutally gang-raped in New Delhi says the woman “has taken a turn for the worse.” The CEO of Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Dr. Kelvin Loh, issued an update on the 23-year-old's medical condition late Friday, saying “her vital signs are deteriorating with signs of severe organ failure.” Loh said “this is despite doctors fighting for her life including putting her on maximum artificial ventilation support, optimal antibiotic doses as well as stimulants which maximize her body's capability to fight infections.” He said that the unnamed victim's family members have been informed of her worsening condition and that they are by her side.
