URA teams up with REDAS for innovation contest

The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) and Real Estate Developers’ Association of Singapore (REDAS) have joined forces to launch an annual competition on Tuesday (14 November) to further improve the city-state’s built environment. Dubbed as the URA-REDAS SPARK Challenge, the inaugural contest invites the public to submit ideas, innovations and inventions, with a chance to test them in shopping malls. The theme for the first challenge is to enhance the health and wellness of people within the built environment. The innovations may cover various subjects conforming with the theme, like uplifting people’s moods and emotional wellness, as well as encouraging them to be more physically active.
