In its annual report on the sector, real estate firm Savills revealed how student property investments reached £950 million during the first four month of 2014 – equivalent to 17,000 new beds. The Scottish cities of Aberdeen and Glasgow, along with Bournemouth, Kingston upon Thames and Newcastle in England, were named as those offering the best potential for future investors.
