Overwhelming demand from singles for new 2-room flats - Property Auctions News, Property Investment | PropertyGuru

There is still clearly a strong demand from Singaporeans looking to purchase two-room Build-to-Order (BTO) flats, especially among singles. At the close of HDB’s latest BTO exercise at midnight on May 28, the 390 two-room flats offered at West Crest @ Bukit Batok and West Valley @ Bukit Batok were more than four times oversubscribed by first-time buyers, second-timers and singles. Located in Woodlands, Marsiling Greenview saw an overall oversubscription rate of almost six times for its 289 two-room units. Latest figures from HDB show a high number of applications from singles contributed to the robust interest. Since July 2013, first-timer singles over 35 have been able to buy new two-room flats.
