#Singapore #property news - "Developers need productivity training programmes"

More training programmes should be offered to developers, builders and architects to help them get used to new construction methods, said the Singapore Contractors Association as reported in the media. The statement came after the government made the use of new construction methods compulsory earlier this year to boost productivity. Among the construction methods that private developers have to be familiar with is prefabrication. This involves constructing certain parts of a property off-site and then bringing them on-site to be assembled. Certain Government Land Sale (GLS) sites will only be awarded to developers who utilise productive construction methods such as prefabrication.
