To enjoy a wider range of opportunities and higher returns, investors should focus on non-core markets in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region in the near future, according to the 2013 Annual Outlook by DTZ. From an investor’s perspective, most APAC markets are still attractive but this has yet to result in sufficient investment volumes. Moreover, there is also a general lack of high quality investable properties across many countries in the region. Nonetheless, a steady recovery is predicted starting from 2013. “Occupier demand has held up well in the face of global weakness, supported by non-financial services tenants, with net absorption in 2012 above 2009 levels.
