Previously he was a director at luxury e-commerce site Glamour Sales (Japan) where they launched in 2009 with nothing – no platform, no customers. But over one and a half years, they built a platform, various processes, and acquired 500,000 customers. Subsequently, they also raised over US$60 million and expanded from Japan into China. He was also previously a director at Cookpad , Japan’s biggest recipe portal with over 20 million users. Yongfook is now running SaaS company Pitchpigeon.com in Singapore and also spends spare time mentoring young startups at the Singapore Management University .
