Thailand to get over 400K free Wi-Fi hotspots by 2014 August 13, 2013 by Stephanie SUTANTO The Information and Communication Technology Ministry (ICT) plans to enable 80 percent of the country to enjoy Internet access. By 2014, Thailand hopes to see about 10 million people receive access to free Wi-Fi, similar to that of [email protected] in Singapore. Currently, the Information and Communication Technology Ministry (ICT) has installed 270,000 of these hotspots nationwide, and are looking to add another 150,000 spots next year.
