Businesses in Singapore potentially save S$4.38 billion due to Virtualization

S$2.38 billion in server spending costs saved due to not buying a server– more than half of the costs avoided in total. S$624 million in power and cooling costs saved due to not having to power and cool a physical server in the datacenter. S$60 million in floor space costs saved in not having to buy land and not having to foot construction cost associated in housing a physical server. S$1.32 billion in server admin costs saved, including IDC’s estimate of the cost of people and overheads needed to manage each physical server.
