San Francisco accelerator by MySpace co-founder inviting S’pore startups to apply January 14, 2012 by Terence LEE i/o Ventures, an accelerator based in San Francisco, is welcoming Singapore startups to apply for its next three-month program, which will start in Mid-February. The accelerator has been exploring Southeast Asia as an emerging region for technology startups. So far, they’ve visited places like Singapore and Kuala Lumpur and have more trips planned this year. One of its mentors, Vinnie Lauria, has even brought SuperHappyDevHouse , a premier Silicon Valley hackathon, to Singapore. From what Vinnie has seen, he’s impressed by the quality of startups in Souteast Asia and the region. i/o Ventures is headed by some of Silicon Valley’s most prominent entrepreneurs.
