Scott Anthony, MD of consulting firm Innosight, shares lessons from the trenches of disruptive incubation

There are 15 of us across India and Singapore. We have two complementary businesses: Innosight Ventures and Innosight Consulting. Innosight Ventures invests in startup companies in Singapore that are following disruptive strategies. We’ve made six investments to date and are very pleased with the companies in our portfolio. Innosight Consulting helps clients improve their ability to create growth through innovation. That basically means we either help companies give birth to new businesses, like we did with Godrej and its ChotuKool refrigerator, or developed the capabilities to make the pursuit of growth systematic. We’ve worked with both leading companies in this region and the regional arms of some of our global clients. In the past two years we’ve delivered work in China, India, Philippines, Australia, Vietnam, Singapore, and Korea.
