Lobangclub launches Android app, drops the Lobang name.

Lobangclub, an app which keeps you informed of product prices in other shops so that you can shop wisely has been around since last year. While the official term Lobangclub comes from the Malay term “lobang” which means “tips ”, it also has a negative connotation to it among the Malays. Literally, ‘lobang’ is also used to describe ‘holes’. When I first covered the startup last september and wrote about whether will it work in Singapore , there were some discussion over the branding and the name of the company.
