Japan’s photo book startup TOLOT secures KDDI investment #FastWhisper #Web

TOLOT, a Global Brain portfolio company and one of Japan’s hottest photo book startup, secures funding from KDDI Corporation. Through the KDDI Open Innovation Fund, a US$66 million fund managed by Global Brain , KDDI Corporation has invested in photo book startup, TOLOT. Other than the funding, TOLOT (pronounced “toe-lot”) has also secured a place for their photo book app in KDDI’s AU Smart Pass as of August 1st. The KDDI AU Smart Pass is a suite of 500 apps available for KDDI subscribers to download unlimitedly at a monthly plan of around US$4. This provides apps on the KDDI AU Smart Pass better user acquisition and exposure. TOLOT’s services allows user to order photo books from their Android, iOS devices or PC for about 500 yen (US$6).
