The financial tech startup scene is a marathon and not a sprint, shares our guest contributor ST Chua, who is a serial entrepreneur, and co-founder of Perfectsen, a B2B financial technology startup. Many have ask how different is it to build a startup in the financial technology space as compared to direct-to-consumer business models, such as e-commerce or the daily-deal space which I was from. As Perfectsen – a company that I co-founded with a couple of partners — would be presenting in the upcoming FinovateAsia 2012 event, I thought it is timely to share some lessons and insights I have came across up to this point.
