A convenient re-take of a classic, this blackforest is spiked with brandy and can be done ahead of time as it needs refrigeration. You can serve them in martini glasses or any clear glassware you have at home. To pipe the cream into the glasses, I use a small, clear plastic bag with the corner snipped off. It’s much neater with this method. Serves 4 Ingredients: 1 can pitted cherries ½ cup brandy (you can use the juices from the can of cherries if you opt for a non-alcoholic version) 1 store bought chocolate pound cake, cut up into small cubes 2 cups fresh whipping cream 100g dark chocolate, grated Method: 1. Drain half the juices of the cherries and soak them in the brandy for 1 hour (skip this step if you are not using any alcohol). 2. Whip the cream until stiff peaks form. Refrigerate once done. 3.
