W39 Bistro & Bakery Singapore

A lovely weekday afternoon, a quiet day to unwind and relax, a trip to W39 Bistro and Bakery in West Coast. We’ve heard a fair bit about this neighbourhood gem in the West, and a recent trip made us understand why it is well-loved for many reasons. Stepping in to this little cafe is like stepping in to an English cottage in Summer; the aroma of freshly baked goodies perfumed the space, and the wooden furniture seemed to be dancing along with the soft whispers of the diners who were all there to escape the scorching afternoon sun and to seek solace in the cakes. Yes, the cake. They bake a variety every day, but it is evident which is the crowd’s favourite – the Rainbow Cake . While we have had much better tasting ones, W39′s version was a pleasure to dig in to alongside our daily latte fix. The layers of colours were decadently laced with chocolate in between, and for S$19....
