Accumulate points by checking the app every day for food stories, commenting on them and sharing recipes

The first thing web designer Jesslyn Lim does in the morning before she goes to work is to check Singapore Press Holdings' SoShiok app, to get up-to-date food stories. She was No. 3 on the app's leaderboard last month, chalking up 3,716 points for using the app. In first place was Mr Alan Yap, followed by a user who uses the handle Matcha. They will each be receiving a $50 shopping voucher for topping the leaderboard last month. The revamped SoShiok app, developed by SPH's news portal AsiaOne, has seen 58,863 downloads as of Wednesday. Users earn points for reading stories, commenting on them and posting photos of the food they eat, among other activities. The points can be exchanged for vouchers and users with the highest points are listed on the leaderboard. These monthly rankings change as they are based on points accumulated each month.
