Three restaurants which specialise in crabs have sprung in Yio Chu Kang Road, about 400m of each other, a world away from the ones at East Coast. Big signboards fight for attention. At one end is the House of Seafood, followed by Kim's Place, which is the latest addition. Both opened only last year. They pose stiff competition to Crab Party, the pioneer along that stretch. When The New Paper on Sunday visited the area on Wednesday night, House of Seafood was full, while Kim's Place was 90 per cent full. But Crab Party, located at the corner, only had three tables occupied. Crab Party claims its business is much better on weekends. But that hasn't triggered off a price war.
