One of the pleasures of shopping at Marks & Spencer's food market is discovering delicious new things. The biscuits, sweet or savoury, are always dependable. Among the new offerings are these slow-baked biscuits from Dorset Village Bakery, which has been in business for more than 85 years. The biscuits are meant to be vehicles for cheese, but taste good on their own. A smear of cream cheese cannot hurt, of course, but these are good things to stash away in the office for when the nibbles hit. My favourite one is Oat, Cheddar & Nigella Seed, a crisp rectangle that really does not need any cheese on it.
