Singapore, April 26, 2012 Hougang 6 Miles Famous Muah Chee Block 69 Bedok South Avenue 3 I couldn't understand the fixation with the wobbly, cooked rice dough when I saw perpetual queues of people lining up at Hougang 6 Miles Famous Muah Chee stall in quiet Bedok South. I thought it was so old-school and not worth paying $2.50 for a small plate of lumps. But I was converted when the gooey-soft pieces of Mr Teo Yong Joo's Muah Chee slid down my throat. It boasted a certain refinement, from the freshness of the dough to the judicious precision in the blend of nut and sweetness.
