Chew Kee Eating House | Founded in the 1940s, Chew Kee is probably the oldest soy sauce chicken specialist in Singapore. The business is now managed by the daughter of the founder. There is another shop along the same row of shophouses – Chiew Kee at unit number 32 – that is operated by the founder’s son. Both Chew Kee and Chiew Kee have their own fan base. For us, we prefer Chew Kee’s version. Scented with rose wine, their darker braising sauce tastes more robust and balanced.
