Here's a couple of (very nice) words about Syndicate SG's latest Subsessions shindig with AYA SEKINE and Sleep Easy.

Sleep Easy’s dreamy compositions kicked the night off, and despite his chosen moniker, there certainly weren’t any yawns during his standout showcase. We’ve caught this young singer-songwriter before but we’ve never been this impressed. It’s astounding what Syndicate’s sound system lent to Sleep Easy’s work because everything from his spoken-word poetry to his possessed command of a variety of instruments seemed that much more immersive. Not to be outdone, Japanese-born jazz pianist Aya Sekine went out next to put together a completely experimental, improvisational performance alongside visualist mad man Brandon Tay. The amount of off-the-cuff imagination on display was as sensational as it was scary, but then again, that’s just how Syndicate rolls!
