The Italian ‘Commedia del’ Arte’ is one of the most exciting and challenging of theatrical forms. With numerous masked characters and comic business, known as ‘lazzi’, this art form has had a profound and lasting influence on world drama. LASALLE has been fortunate to secure Valeria Campo, one of the world experts in the ‘Commedia’. Over the past four weeks Valeria has been taking the Level 2 Musical Theatre students in a workshop, introducing them to the world of the ‘Commedia del’ Arte’. The culmination of this workshop can be seen in this informal showing.
