Leading Australia Director and Theatre Veteran Aubrey Mellor Conducts Workshops at The Central Academy of Drama (China), School of Drama and Literature 30 May 2016 From 22 to 24 May, leading Australian director and theatre veteran Aubrey Mellor visited the School of Drama and Literature’s class of 2015 Theatre Management students to conduct a three-day “Mellor Method” workshop. Mellor graduated from the National School of Drama (NIDA) in Australia, and is an innovator of professional theatre practices. He was brought up in variety and circus, trained as a dancer, visual artist and musician. In 1972 he was awarded a Churchill Fellowship and was the first Australian to study Asian theatre.
