Our reader says bus lanes actually add to the congestion of our roads. Do you agree?

THE objective of having the certificate of entitlement scheme and Electronic Road Pricing system is to prevent congestion. However, the bus lane system does the reverse. Often, there are no vehicles in the bus lanes but the first and middle lanes are congested. I am sure all motorists would agree that the 'mandatory give way' to buses is a better alternative.
