Dick Lee introduces SingaPop!, an inaugural concert celebrating Singapore's music scene over the years. (Yahoo! … The Quest; Matthew and the Mandarins ; Naomi and the Boys; Tokyo Square -- recognise any of these names? If you don't, prepare to be schooled -- these are three of Singapore's many home-grown bands over the past five decades, who will be featured in a historic all-local music concert that will track the development of the country's pop music culture in five segments, from the 1960s till today. And here's the best part -- it'll be free for the public to attend. SingaPop! , as it is called, is organised by the Economic Development Board (EDB) as the last of a series of events held in celebration of its 50th anniversary this year.
