Training students to help households conserve energy

This initiative comes as part of Singapore's ongoing '10% Energy Challenge' campaign, which is led by the National Environment Agency (NEA) to encourage households in Singapore to cut their electricity usage by 10 per cent or more. The 3P (People-Private-Public) sustainability programme is centred on energy conservation and uses a combination of education, community service and project work to empower students to help communities conserve energy. Students will be trained to conduct energy audits in households. Then, students will propose and implement an energy-saving solution and monitor these households' progress over a period of three months.
