Marketing up a storm for L'Oreal

How do you find the next marketing whiz? You could post a job listing and invite fresh graduates to submit their cover letters. Or like L'Oreal, you could hold a prestigious international marketing competition to suss out top marketing talents from around the world. Winners of the annual competition are traditionally offered jobs at L'Oreal, besides winning a €10,000 (S$17,144) trip voucher to any city of their choice. This year marks the first time since 2007 that a Singapore team has taken home the top prize at the L'Oreal Brandstorm international finals. On June 16 in Paris, Team Hairven from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) beat competitors from 44 countries with their stand-out marketing strategy for L'Oreal Professional Homme, a men's range of professional salon products and services soon to be launched in Singapore.
