(TTR) NUS rejected my son – have to sell house to send him overseas

You in fact did the right thing for your son. It’s a blessing in disquise. He is happy and with a great future there now. My son in fact “únfortunately” got into NUS Medical School, where during clinical exposure, the medical doctors who were supposed to mentor them had no time for them, cause there were way overworked, and the lectures were given by foreign lecturers whose accents or English were hardly comprehensible. Now that he starts to work, the extreme long hours that they are made to work, and the miserable salaries that they are paid (appreciably lower than even average graduates working in other industries who spent less years studying)are really pathetic. Simply because these medical graduates are bonded for 5 years by MOH, and they supplement the shortage by employing FTs, instead of improving their working environment and compensations to retain the local doct...
