Our reader says: Turn #KTM land into farmers' market selling local produce like vegetables, cheeses and marmalades.
WITH reference to Mr Poon Hong Kit's letter on Sunday ("Turn train station into night market"), I think it's a great idea, but I would suggest we take it a stage further and turn it into a farmers' market selling fresh local produce like fruit and vegetables, cheeses, jams and marmalades. This has proven to be a very successful concept overseas - especially the farmers' markets in Los Angeles and Covent Garden in London, which have become extremely popular with locals and tourists alike. There could also be coffee shops, restaurants with outdoor entertainers, magicians and musicians, and so on. With the right tenants and the right buzz and atmosphere, it could be a great place for everyone to visit and enjoy with their families at any time of the day or night.
