We Singaporeans complain about poor bus service on Twitter and Facebook. Johoreans take to the streets.

Tamil Nesam reported that about 150 residents of Bandar Selasih Jaya in Johor Baru staged a peaceful demonstration over the inefficient transportation system in the area. Kulai Jaya Indian residents association president A. Chandrasegaran said buses plying in the housing estate had not been meeting the needs of the residents. He said residents had to walk about 1km to catch the bus, as the they did not stop at the designated stops. “Those who work overtime at night, especially women, have problems returning home due to the irregular bus services,” he said. Chandrasegaran added that work-going residents and students were also facing constraints because of the problem. He said they would be submitting a memorandum to the Johor Mentri Besar on the matter and planned to stage a protest in front of the Johor Baru Municipal Council headquarters. > Malaysia Nanban reported that p...
