Changi Airport rolls out offers to boost Japan travel

Enchanting Japan Travel Fair at Changi Airport Therminal Three Departure Hall Row 11. -- ST PHOTO: KEVIN LIM TRAVELLERS having second thoughts about visiting Japan after the recent nuclear crisis may find themselves changing their minds at Changi Airport's Japan travel fair this weekend. The fair, which runs till Sunday, will feature tour packages with discounts of more than 10 per cent, and daily lucky draws with holidays to Japan as prizes. The event is the first of a slew of activities organised by the airport group over the next six months to boost travel to Japan. The airport group will also partner travel agencies and airlines in its biggest push to promote travel to a destination. It will spend close to $700,000 on the initiative.
