Nearly S$600,000 raised for autism

SINGAPORE: The Autism Resource Centre (ARC) and Pathlight School raised S$582,363 at their annual fundraiser on Saturday. Some 700 "superheroes" came out in force for a "Very Special Walk". Starting at Pathlight School, they made their way to Bishan Park and back. They are the students, parents, staff and donors of the school and ARC, as well as the Autism Association and Eden School. Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam was the guest of honour at the event, which is in its sixth year. The money raised will go to post-school services and programmes for youths and adults with autism.
