Feedback sought for sports masterplan

SINGAPORE: The Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) has said it will work closely with the public, private and people sectors to jointly develop a sports masterplan - dubbed Vision 2030 - for the next 20 years. The aim is to bring sports to the next level. Acting MCYS Minister Chan Chun Sing said sports would be used as a strategy for individual development, community bonding and nation building. The ministry will incorporate into the masterplan considerations for Singapore's future challenges - including an ageing population, the pressure of living in an urban society and higher expectations regarding the quality of life. Feedback is being sought from various stakeholders through channels like focus groups and the www.vision2030.sg
