Youths seek help on mental health issues at CHAT hub

SINGAPORE: Keeping youths informed about mental health issues and getting them to recognise when they need help and where to get it - that's the aim of the Institute of Mental Health's (IMH) CHAT (Community Health Assessment Team) programme, available at its hub at *SCAPE in Orchard Road. Since its opening last June, over 14,000 visitors have been to the CHAT hub, where specially trained professionals provide assessments. And if needed, professional help is recommended. The centre said school work, boy-girl relationship and family problems are the three main issues facing youths today. And the centre, in the heart of town, has been a hit with youths.
