Doctors say this rise is 'inversely proportionate' to the declining in birth rate. The trend is not unique to the island republic. It is one that is also seen in developing and newly developed countries where women place economic progress and career over procreation. Revealing this at a media conference on Monday morning, medical director of Thomson Women's Cancer Center Tay Eng Hseon said many women are unaware of the protective effects childbearing has against the cancer.
