He was disqualified in 2005 when the Presidential Elections Committee (PEC) did not issue him with an eligibility certificate. The former Jurong Town Corporation chief financial officer, also a former PAP member, showed up at the Elections Department at 1045am on Wednesday to collect application forms to contest the presidency, accompanied by two friends. He said: 'I look forward to getting Singaporeans' moral support to get the Certificate of Eligibility to contest the presidential election 2011.'
