“Public transport fares have no choice but to increase, this is called inflation and applies to everything from food, water, electricity, housing etc..no exceptions. It’s not fair to expect the transport operators to bear the higher cost on behalf of consumers. Everyone must pay their share.” THAT’S A VERY CIRCULAR ARGUMENT. HIGH TRANPORT COST CONTRIBUTING TO INFLATION, OR INFLATION RESULTING IN HIGH TRANSPORT COST? SO IN OTHER WORDS, YOU ARE SAYING COMMUTERS SHOULD TIGHTEN THEIR BELTS & HELP SMRT & MRT TO CONTINUE MAKING HUGE PROFITS? “The government has already done its share by maintaining a strong Sing$ to combat imported inflation. You can’t expect the government to solve everyone’s problems.
