Jelajah 1Malaysia or JOM: Umno Youth, together with vocational students, travelled nationwide to hold community events such as clean-ups, sports programmes and health check-ups, and, most notably, repairing houses of villagers. During Ramadan, they will repair mosques and break fast with villagers. Job fairs: Four fairs have been held since May. This weekend, another job fair will be held. Housing fair: It will feature developers with affordable houses to offer, and cheap loans for first-time buyers. Food for Life: A soup kitchen has been set up in Kuala Lumpur in partnership with restaurants to provide food for the poor and homeless. BN scholarship scheme: BN Youth has worked with several private colleges to offer places and funding for qualified students who could not afford to pay for their studies.
