OSLO - NORWAY paid tribute on Saturday to the emergency service workers who took the strain in the aftermath of the July 22 attacks, with a cathedral concert - and more roses. The flowers, which have come to symbolise the nation's grief and its compassion, were scattered across the windshields of ambulances and added to the growing carpet of flowers outside the cathedral. Jorunn Groenning, a shop owner in her forties, placed a rose on the each of the ambulances parked outside Oslo Cathedral as people gathered for a concert in their honour. 'This is for everything they did,' she said. 'We don't appreciate all the work they put in.' In the days since the twin attacks, roses have become ubiquitous here, scattered in the streets and attached to lamp posts and gates around Oslo.
