Commander of US Pacific Fleet in #Singapore for talks with leaders via @ChannelNewsAsia cc @cybpioneer

SINGAPORE: The Commander of the United States Pacific Fleet, Admiral Patrick M. Walsh, on Wednesday called on Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Teo Chee Hean at the Defence Ministry. Admiral Walsh, who is in Singapore for a working visit, also called on Chief of Navy Rear Admiral, Chew Men Leong. He will also call on Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew on Friday. MINDEF said Admiral Walsh's visit underscores the excellent defence relations between Singapore and the United States and highlights the strong partnership and long-standing co-operation between the United States Navy (USN) and the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN). Both navies interact extensively through a wide range of activities, including visits, bilateral and multilateral exercises, and professional exchanges.
