TO SOME audiences, Steve Buscemi is the actor in plenty of films they can never quite place. He was "that guy" in blockbusters such as Con Air and Armageddon, and his buddy Adam Sandler's movies - think the burger-chomping homeless man in Big Daddy and the sad sack drunk wedding guest in The Wedding Singer. But fans of indie films know better. Buscemi is bonafide Sundance royalty. In fact, he can't walk around Utah's Park City, where America's largest independent film festival is held, without people "following me around with their script, saying, 'Can you do this?'", he once revealed. Sundance's love affair with the actor started in 1986 where he played a HIV-positive street punk in the movie Parting Glances. He then starred in Quentin Tarantino's 1992 debut, Reservoir Dogs, which is only "the greatest independent movie ever made", according to Empire magazine. That same ...
