Jakarta (The Jakarta Post/ANN) - The family of Walfrida Soik, an Indonesian migrant worker under arrest in Malaysia, hopes to spare her from the death penalty for allegedly murdering her employer. "Walfrida suffers from a slight mental issue so she does not communicate much. We hope that she does not receive the death penalty," Yuliana Bui, Walfrida's adoptive mother, said. Yuliana said that Walfrida had told her parents in Koloulun, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), that she would leave for Taluru, NTT, to become a rock digger. The family said they had not heard from Frida since. "To our knowledge, Frida was in Koloulun, not Malaysia," she added, as reported by tempointeraktif.com news portal.
