SINGAPORE: Singapore's non-oil domestic exports (NODX) rose 9.4 per cent on-year after a rise of 9.9 per cent in November. On a month-on-month basis, NODX staged a rebound, growing 8.9 per cent versus a contraction of 13 per cent in November. Economists polled by Channel NewsAsia forecasted the NODX to rise 12 per cent on-year and 10 per cent on month. IE Singapore, which released the figures on Monday, said the rise was driven by exports of non-electronic domestic exports. Electronics exports, meanwhile, contracted by 1.1 per cent in December, in contrast to the 11 per cent growth the previous month. The drop in electronic exports was due to falling shipments of disk drives, PC parts and Integrated Circuit parts.
